UPDATE MAR 2010

I can now safely announce that I am in the process of inking a management deal with Alexia Melocchi of LITTLE STUDIO FILMS in Beverly Hills. The first order of business will be to get professional studio coverage (analysis) of all my screenplays. In anticipation of re-writes in the coming months, I've decided to disable the links to the existing scripts on this site.

UPDATE FEB 2010

Just added “Shadow of Truth” to the screenplay page.

I’m happy to report that a Beverly Hills production/ management company (with huge International connections) is interested in signing me as a writer. So far, they’ve read “Undaunted” and “The Ghosts of Whispering Winds” (liked them both) and I just sent them copies of “The Final Table” and “Shadow of Truth”. Because it is not a certainty, I can’t reveal the name of the company or the executive with whom I spoke on January 25th. I expect to hear from them again very soon.

I just finished the first draft of my newest screenplay, which is the story of a 19-year-old skateboarder who suffers a head injury, slips into a coma, and then awakens three day later with psychic abilities. Lots of fun!

UPDATE JAN 2010

I’m happy to report that since my last update, “Undaunted” is getting some serious attention from some notable Hollywood producers/agents. These things take time, but I hope to have good news sometime this year.

In the meantime, I’ve completed “The Final Table”, which may be my most commercial screenplay yet. It’s a high-concept thriller about a psychopath who kidnaps nine poker stars and forces them to play a game of Texas Hold’em for their lives.

I’m also nearing completion of the re-write for the mystery-thriller “A Deadly Influence”, which is now entitled “Shadow of Truth”.

UPDATE NOV 2009

It appears that there will not be a second novel—at least not in the foreseeable future.  Truth is, I’m having too much fun writing screenplays. The story I was writing, A Deadly Influence, was converted to a script and entered into a couple of screenwriting contests. Unfortunately, I didn’t win, but it made it to the quarter finals in one of the biggies. That, along with positive comments from industry professionals, has inspired me to pursue writing screenplays instead of books, which are extremely hard to sell these days unless you are already famous.

After completing A Deadly Influence, a mystery-thriller, I put my nose to the grindstone and wrote Undaunted, which is the story about a returning Army vet whose niece is abducted by a Mexican drug cartel. After receiving lukewarm response to my first draft, I consulted with an industry pro in Hollywood who helped me turn it into a solid action-thriller. While rewriting Undaunted, I decided to write a light-hearted ghost story for the TV market. The end result was The Ghosts of Whispering Winds, which follows paranormal investigators from a reality TV show as they shoot their season finale at a haunted hotel in Georgia.

If you would like to learn more about Undaunted and The Ghosts of Whispering Winds, please go to the Screenplays page.

My newest project, entitled The Final Table, is a mystery-thriller that involves kidnapped poker stars. More on that later.
