He soon discovers a world in which everyone, including his client, seems to be harboring secrets.

When his 12-year-old niece is abducted by Mexican gangsters, a returning vet—who is haunted by a traumatic experience in Afghanistan—embarks on a journey that takes him deep into the world of killers and drug dealers where he must form an unlikely alliance in order to rescue the girl from the clutches of a vicious drug lord.
